Entry for November 15, 2007
I have preached, taught, and I thought I believed in our Lord’s command “in all things give thanks” . This past year has challenged me personally to really search my heart and life to see if I believe this truth. One year ago with the sudden death of our then Student Minister, Gerald Turner, on Thanksgiving Day, I found this truth put to the test. Since that terrible day I have found God, His Word, and His purpose for my life and the ministry of this church to be right on time. God has blessed TFWBC in more glorious measures than ever before! When we couldn’t understand what God was doing, He was at work. He has comforted us in the storm. He has carried on the mission of this church to “Love God and Love People” at a deeper, higher, and more explosive level. We have seen our ministry grow and our attendance grow at record numbers. TFWBC family has so much to be thankful for. Our hearts still ache for the losses, but if anyone can say “in all things give thanks” it is the TFWBC family. Come and join what God is doing!!!!
